Product Configuration

The product configuration is usually decided by business. Details for required information will be discussed with your Zinsli manager.

There are a few configuration which you should take note of because they influence how you need to confirm the opening of an account and the payment.

The actual configuration is done by your Zinsli account manager, and cannot be done by the provider directly.

Payment method​

Depending on how you product is configured the process is a little different. There are two aspects to consider: how does the customer make the payment and from which point onward do you provide the security guarantee.

Quick reminder of what the different payment options are:

  • Personal Account: The tenant will pay directly into their private account. Usually used for classical savings accounts or ETFs.
  • Collective Account: The tenant will pay into a shared account and the transfer is identified by a reference number/text. This can be used for example for precious metal solutions.
  • Handled Externally: The billing process is not handled via Zinsli and the product provider is responsible to invoice the tenant directly. Usually used for guarantees.

Guarantee flow​

The different processes between request and guarantee can be configured in two ways:

  • The collateral follows the flow waiting for product provider -> waiting for payment -> active. This is the case when you wait until you have the payment from the tenant before you confirm the guarantee. (Usually used for bank account products).
  • The collateral follows the flow waiting for product provider -> active. This is the case when the guarantee is active as soon as you accept the tenant's request. (Usually used for "insurance" products).

Get your product configuration​

If you are unsure what your product has configured, check your product settings.

  • billing.kind for the configured payment option
    • billing.recipient & billing.iban for the collective account information
  • shouldLockAfterAccountCreation for the guarantee confirmation
